I graduated with a double major with that as well as television. I got a job at a local news station where I was hired in as Production Assistant in Programing. My job in a nut shell was public relations for anything that was not the news, for example, fundraisers, parades, etc. I was laid off in a short amount of time as well as half the station. The station's rule of thumb was basically, 'why paid someone to work when we can get an intern to do it for free?'. I had job interviews all over the state as well as the nation and nothing. I had to end up working as a fast food manager and hated every minute of it. I went back to school where I became a Medical Spa Technician. I now make 6 times the amount of money as I did before be just doing chemical peels, botox injections, microdermabrasion, etc. I also got a medical massage certification in the meantime. It is a lot less stressful doing my current job for more money, than my previous jobs for working at or below minimum wage. It just takes time and support him in whatever decision he makes, because it is a long tough journey. I would say it’s hard to find a job in that. In a smaller area, it is going to be more difficult to find a job. If you plan on living in a more urban areas, there will be more opportunities in that field.
