Network Marketing - Finding Prospects Without Spending a Fortune
If you’re someone who is involved in Network Marketing, you know that you must continue to grow your client base and if you’re brand new, you need to start getting customers. Additionally, regardless of where you are in the business, it’s important to keep costs down in order to earn yourself a tidy profit.
Although many network marketers have turned to the Internet to grow their customer base because it can be a cheap way of promoting their products, oftentimes it’s the old standby of off line marketing that will get you more customers.
In today’s wired age, many customers are very happy to receive something that they can touch, smell or feel because it has become so rare. Instead of bombarding them with emails, consider going that extra mile and adding that personal touch.
Here are some ideas that you can use to grow your client base with your network marketing company offline that can also earn you brownie points for going the extra mile.
Hand out samples
Purchase some small snack-size baggies from the store and put the following items in them:
- A business card;
- A business opportunity flyer;
- A discount coupon;
- A sample product;
Hand these baggies out to people you come in contact with each day such as:
- Bank Tellers;
- Parents at your child’s sporting events;
- Retail cashiers;
- Convenience store clerks;
This is a very quick and easy way to get the word out about what it is you do and by providing a sample product, they’re able to get something for free in the process, thus building up some good will.
Put up Flyers
Create flyers that have your contact information on them such as:
- Your website address;
- Email address;
- Current specials;
Take a day and hang these around your local area in places like:
- Mobile home park offices;
- Apartment complex rental offices;
- Your local grocery store;
- Your local post office;
- Visit local offices and ask for permission to leave a flyer or two for their customers; remember too that it’s always helpful to give the employees a free gift or a discount on your products for letting you do so
Target Business Your Customers Use
Let’s say that you sell spa gifts for example. Contact you local bridal supply stores, bridal gown stores, caterers, tuxedo rental centers, etc. Ask them if you can leave your business card with them or a flyer that their customers can pick up.
Get Active Locally
Oftentimes your local Chamber of Commerce will hold business events that you can participate in. You may have to join the Chamber in order to do so but the small fee you pay could eventually be worth thousands.
Connect with your church and participate in their events. Oftentimes local churches will hold fund-raisers or outdoor get-togethers for their members. See if you can participate in these as well.
Get More People Involved
If there is a local college in your community, consider posting a flyer at the college (with permission of course). College students are always on the lookout for extra ways to make money. Even if they don’t want to join in on your business, they may be very happy hanging out flyers on doors for you or making phone calls.
If you have friends with teenagers who are looking to earn a little extra cash, consider offering them a job during the summer hanging your flyers as well.
This is just a small list of strategies that you can use to market your business offline. Try one or more of these and you’ll start to see your business steadily grow.
