  1. That’s really good advice! While I’m not a professional salesman selling a real product, I am a student trying to sell myself to other companies in an effort to gain internships and appointments with head marketers (Marketing is my major).

    I’ve been doing lots of cold calls in order to gain appointments and I’ve been doing well so far, but I’m sure if I just talked to people I already know first and gain a referral, I could be doing even better.

  2. @CountDOODOO Jeff Gitomer also reminded me that I can use my Facebook and Twitter accounts to connect with other local marketing agencies. As well as LinkinIn, which I think I’ll make an account to.

  4. Great advice, as always. Anyone who can take the punishment of making cold calls could and should already be a millionaire stockbroker, so it’s foolish for sales managers to force this.

  6. I like this video. Jeff seems to be upset at the thread he is following. I agree with everything he is saying. Yes he is repeating his material but I believe it is good to be reminded of what works.

    Hey I’m a canvasser and a “negotiator” aka Sales closer selling top of the line Home cleaning systems. I consider door knocking a form of cold calling so I hope he’s not comparing “cold calling” to “cold knocking” because I like Jeffrey. I’ve been studing this guy and he rocks legitamently but this video can’t get my spirits down. There’s nothing that feels better than turning a cold oppurtunity and turning that into a CHECK!
