Are there any good resources that might help me understand the whole process for seeking venture capital funding for a business I might want to start? I’d like to know what I need to know going into this and what kinds of questions I should be prepared to answer.

I work for Allstate in California as a sales producer. I would like to know some good techniques to get more customers. What could I do? What kind of advertisements? I have done fliers and advertised on the radio already. Any other ideas will be great. Thanks
