I was scheduled for dd on Jan 29, 2010. I filed on the 15th through H&R Block. According to them money was wired to my account but I still don’t have it. I called my bank (chase) and they say they have nothing pending. What is going on?

If you had any prep fees deducted from your refund that is more than likely causing a delay.I bank with chase and received my refund right at the stroke of midnight Friday morning and not a second later,no fees deducted I filed for free.
It is out of IRS hands if they have direct deposited in your account. It is up to the bank now, when you called Chase did you ask them when they post DD in to accounts.
If you bank account doesn’t get posted in 10 days then contact IRS at 1-800-829-1954, the CSR will send a request to trace your refund.

First you need to confirm with the preparer that the return was acknowledged by the IRS. If it was they may have a check for you. You should also confirm with them that they got the correct routing information. One other possibility is that H&R Block kept the refund for unpaid RALs from prior years. They don’t mention that they will do that if you owe their bank for a prior debt.
Double check your routing and account numbers to see if they were entered correctly.
If they are, you probably applied for a rapid refund loan or had a portion of your tax prep fees deducted from your refund. (NEVER DO THIS!) If this is what you did, then you need to contact the bank that your tax prep agency/software uses…Republic Bank, SBBT, etc. They can update you on the status.
If the numbers were entered wrong, you will receive a paper check from the IRS, which can take up to 6 weeks.

call hr block see what day they deposited it and check deposit numbers. then call chase and talk to a live person explain situation and see what they say. good luck

AND MY BANK IS OPEN ON 7 DAYS A WEEK, THE WMF SITE ACTS LIKE THEY DON’T HAVE MY INFO , I CALLED THE IRS FRIDAY AND THIS MEAN LADY FROM THE IRS TOLD ME THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE SITE AND MY REFUND WAS DUE JAN. 29TH
If you used any tax service or e-file system that you opted to have the fees deducted from your refund via Republic Bank you aae so SOL…. Republic Bank is full of crap, They are holding on to everyones refunds for the full entire 4 days to collect interest…. then they are lying on everything and everyone trying not to take the blame for their deception… Basically We’ve been had… They are being really rude and is like aint nothing could be done about it… They really screwed up mt weekend!!!!!! I really had a lot of bills to pay and I took off Friday from work thinking I was going to be able to go take care of things that I nneded done. Thanks Taxact for really screwing up my time….. Hopefully we will get our moneys this week at some point!!!!

I havent received mine either, both the irs and hr block hsbc said that it was sent to my bank jan 29th for authorization so i guess my bank is holding on to it from there but still no pending deposit
Does anyone have the # to dial so you can actually talk to an IRS CSR??? I have called various lines and no matter which options I choose in the automated system it just gives me the automated information. I need a human!
