Pride And The Price Tag
Do you have someone in your life that is all wrapped up in brand names and price tags every time they go shopping? Maybe that is the way you are too? Have you ever asked yourself why what a tag says and what something cost is so important? It has to be an ego thing. Oh sure, you do get what you pay for sometimes and then sometimes you are just paying more.
There is really nothing wrong with paying too much for something if you really have the extra cash to do it, but so many of us do not have that extra money. As a matter of fact, a lot of people who do have a lot of money will still try to find the best bargains on whatever they can. These are some smart people and this could be the very way that they came to have all that extra money in the first place.
There are so many ways that you can save money on clothing items now and it really makes no sense to not take advantage of them. Some people are spending so much on vintage clothes that are all the rage in places like Las Angeles, Hollywood, and New York. These are old, used clothes that some are paying a fortune for. What is the difference in buying these clothes and taking advantage of the great deals you can find at thrift stores and yard sales? The only differences are the price tags.
Retail clothing prices are on the rise just like everything else and people who have been accustomed to buying whatever they want and not having a care about the price, might also find themselves having to make some changes in their apparel. This does not mean that you necessarily have to resort to thrift stores and yard sales, but it might mean that you may have to become a little less picky about the tag that is attached to what you are wearing, the name tag and price tag.
When you stop and think about it, how long do you actually wear a pair of sneakers? If you can buy a pair for thirty five dollars that look as good, wear as well, and will last you just as long as a pair you might pay two hundred dollars for, why do you feel the need to pay all that extra money just because it has a certain name attached to it? If your self worth is really that fragile to think that you are what you wear, then you might have more than just a shopping problem.
