How can I evaluate the effectiveness of my advertising?

I was wondering the numerous ways to evaluate the effectiveness of your advertising strategies. So far I know of looking at sales and speaking to my clients. Are there any other ways?

  3. another way of evaluating your Ad is to look at the level of publicity you have generated from the media. you can also find find out through your target audience the level of awareness.
