Marketing degree or Financial planning degree?

Hi, I’m currently a college junior with an option to pursue a degree in financial planning or marketing. I have a passion for creativity and wouldn’t mind a marketing career, however the pay rate is not really great. My other choice would be to graduate with degree in Financial planning. This would mean taking rigorous classes and taking out more student loans. The upside with this particular degree would be a much better pay rate, and
more career options. Unfortunately, this would lead to a boring working environment that might get old quick. I’m so confused as to what choice I should make.

SOMEONE PLEASE GIVE ME SOME ADVICE, other than do what you love!

Thank you

  1. Do the financial planning. You can switch to marketing if you can’t take it later on, but you can’t switch the other way. Plus, it’s no fun working hard and making nothing.

  2. Best advice I can give is to take a career placement test. May help you make a choice. And lead you to a career that can be part of both.

    Good luck.
